Investing in the heart of London

In 2007 the Great Capital Partnership (GCP) was formed with Great Portland Estates (GPE) to invest in and develop office and retail properties in the West End in order broaden both parties’ exposure in central London. C&C contributed sixteen properties totalling 605,000 sq.ft. and Great Portland Estates contributed five properties totalling 251,000 sq.ft. together with £68 million in cash.

Since then GCP has both bought and sold property and concluded a major headlease restructuring on a number of assets held from the Crown Estate. The current value of the assets in the portfolio is £654 million and the partnership is well placed to take advantage of opportunities for expansion expected in the coming years.
